An Owl Prowl with Hawk Flight Experience allows you to get an up close and personal encounter with not only owls but also with our hawk. Even in sunny San Diego, our highly trained free-flying owls provide an amazing insight into the world of this iconic predator.

We have several owls on our team! A spectacled owl, Ripley, a Eurasian Eagle Owl, Guinness, a Barn Owl, Beatrix, a Burrowing Owl, Tina, and a Screech Owl, Nigel – all demonstrate the unmatched adaptations of owls.

ABI trainers will show you how to catch an owl on the glove, and you get the chance to be face-to-face with an owl in this Experience. While owls are not the most common birds of prey used for falconry, falconers have used them with varying degrees of success, as they are such effective predators. End the experience with a fast-paced hawk flight! Our Hawk will show off their amazing skills and tricks to catch the lure. Once finished get an up-close look by holding them on the glove.
