Meet our owls! This class allows guests with families the one-of-a-kind experience to meet an owl up close and feel what it’s like to handle these incredible birds of prey. Enjoy a secluded spot in the San Diego countryside and discover the incredible adaptations of an owl. Huge eyes, excellent hearing, ultra-light feathers….!

This session is a special handling encounter and glove experience, it does not involve flights with the owls. You will learn how to wear a falconry glove and interact with owls in a way that encourages comfort. Our owl ambassadors Guinness the Eurasian Eagle Owl, Beatrix the Barn Owl, and Ripley the Spectacled Owl will join us for this engaging way of learning about conservation. They will sit on your glove and allow you to experience an owl in a way you never imagined! Relax in the company of these incredible birds of prey, learn about the species of owls in San Diego County and the small changes we can make to help them.
