Lindsay Garcia is the Education and Programs Coordinator at Avian Behavior Conservancy, where she gets to combine her love of animals, education, and conservation (aka her three favorite things). Growing up in Vancouver, BC, Lindsay fell in love with the natural world and never stopped—earning a degree in Earth and Ocean Science and building a career around animal care and education. She has worked in aquaria and zoological institutions from Vancouver to Hawai’i to San Diego.
A proud bird nerd, Lindsay loves sharing her passion with others and inspiring curiosity, wonder, and lots of “wow!” moments. Her best friends include a rotating cast of furry, scaly, and feathered animal ambassadors she’s worked with over the years. Now, Lindsay spends her days creating fun, engaging programs and proving that learning about birds can be a real hoot.
When she’s not talking about birds, Lindsay can be found making art, hiking, birdwatching, and happily soaking up time in nature— usually stopping every few steps to look at a bird!
